The digital divide in this country frequently leads to gaps in both educational achievement and occupational opportunities. The three-episode series Connected highlights several community initiatives which aim to shrink that divide in Houston. Across our community efforts are underway to increase access to high-speed internet in under-resourced neighborhoods, remove barriers to the adoption of digital technology for returning military veterans, and provide digital literacy training to our senior citizens.
